The company holds certification from the JAA, FAA, CAAC, TCA and ISO 9001:2000, has a combined rewind & repair capability of 1100 Parts, and is the largest provider of specialist rewinds to the aerospace industry in the world.

HS-Shannon was founded as Shannon Aircraft Motor Works in 1988, moved to this new facility in Co. Clare, Ireland in 1997 and was taken over by Hamilton Sundstrand in 1998.

They serve both commercial & military aerospace customers worldwide. Hamilton Sundstrand has been performing rewinds at various locations around the world for over 40 years now. In 2002, with superior customer service in mind, Hamilton Sundstrand Corporate decided to concentrate all its rewind activity into one centre of excellence at HS Shannon. From the custom built facility in Shannon, they now service a worldwide market of major airlines and distributors ranging from Pacific Rim, Middle East, Europe and North & South America.

The specialised business of rewind & repair requires a close working relationship between HS-Shannon, the customer and the certifying authorities. As the only specialist rewind facility within Hamilton Sundstrand they now have a worldwide customer base, with which they have forged strong links through their responsiveness and customer service.
