Tranter supports a wide and diverse number of industries including automotive, beverages, chemical, marine, petroleum and pulp and paper.

The systems Tranter had been using were limited in their functionality and were incapable of supporting  future standardisation of information without excessive and costly modifications.  There was a great reliance on additional manpower to perform the “integration” and the processes not provided by the previous systems.  The systems used by the sales companies were old and antiquated and did not facilitate the harmonising of systems, management, streamlining the operation and the standardisation of controls and procedures.   It was necessary for each European system to be set-up in the local language with different general ledger and product code structures.

With the need to focus more on the way they did business in Europe Tranter recognised they must reduce costs, meet the demand and competition by utilising today’s technology.  This has been achieved by consolidating the European operations and taking out the middlemen, thereby shortening the time from order placement to fulfilment and the distance between manufacturer and customer.  These actions reduced costs and working capital and enabled Tranter to be even more competitive.

To keep “day-to-day” control of the business and improve management, information, standardised controls and procedures and move the making of conflicting decisions from local management to central control, a fully integrated business system was required.  The successful implementation of such a solution has allowed Tranter to grow with optimum efficiency and is providing multi-location consolidation.

This new solution, provided by In2grate Business Solutions, is capable of meeting the needs of Tranter meeting their requirements  for administration, order entry, sales, inventory control, purchasing and the future needs of manufacturing, planning and scheduling.

In2grate Business Solutions has implemented and managed the entire project of installing replacement business solutions in Tranter’s operation in the USA,  Sweden and India.  Currently the company is investigating the feasibility of similar implementations in China and South America.  In2grate Business Solutions has provided project management, education, training, consultancy and product development to fully support Tranter in the successful implementation of this key project.
