BUILDING ON TECHNOLOGY

The Group’s mission and vision is based around “Building on Technology” and this enables Milbury Systems to offer comprehensive design, manufacture and installation concrete solution packages for precast and pre-stressed structures, for both above and below ground schemes.

Milbury Systems is an ISO 9001:2008 registered company and the Lydney production facilities based in Gloucestershire have recently been awarded the BSI 14001 Environmental Certification.

The product range includes vertical pre-stressed and horizontal pre-stressed panels, free standing precast concrete wall units, concrete beams, concrete flooring plus various bespoke applications.

Milbury Systems offer the complete solution from design, manufacture through to installation, seeing a project through from start to finish. Their qualified team of Engineers can review any design requirements, this together with the manufacturing plant can reduce the waiting time for the product and overall completion of the project.

Prestressed panels offer a cost effective alternative to block work. With tongue and groove joints the concrete panels can sit securely within a steel frame for ease of installation and reduction of build time. Made to order the strength and resilience of each concrete panel is specific for its requirements and are used widely for projects such as earth retention and security.

Precast concrete units are an ideal solution for temporary requirements or where storage is required for loose materials for example; waste materials, aggregates, soil, fertilizer, crops etc. These freestanding units are also widely used as storage bunkers or division walls within warehouses and can be easily moved to form larger or smaller sections as the business demands.

Milbury Systems’ products can be used and adapted to a wide variety of applications including:

  • Soil retention
  • Storage
  • Warehouse cladding
  • Security walls
  • Blast / Fire walls
  • Agricultural applications

Milbury offer a comprehensive design, manufacture and installation service which gives the customer major advantages over using in situ concrete or masonry:

  • Design responsibility taken by Milbury
  • Economic solutions
  • High quality factory produced pre-stressed concrete
  • Dry and quick installation by experienced operatives

Milbury Systems’ in house design team are able to offer bespoke design packages that are innovative, practical and economical designs tailored to the customer’s individual requirements.

To support their continued growth and to maintain their drive for greater efficiency and utilisation of resources, the Milbury Systems management team recognised a modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business management solution was needed to replace their existing systems.

The main business drivers included the requirement to have modern, flexible business systems that would meet both the current and future needs of a growing and changing organisation. Any new business solution had to be able to integrate into existing and future systems. As a result the use of an industry leading ERP that would be continuously developed and enhanced was seen as a high priority.

Milbury

It was recognised that the solution would ideally have affordable industry specific modules that could be ‘added on’ when needed, including a Product and Estimating Configurator tailored to meet Milbury Systems’ business requirements.

Equally important was the system implementation process - the system provider had to have an in-depth knowledge of the system, genuine experience of working in demanding business environments, a proven track record of successful implementations and a robust financial profile.
