CASE STUDIES
In2grate Business Solutions > Case Studies > Bodilson

Bodilsen is a major furniture manufacturer. The business headquarters are in Denmark along with part of their manufacturing operations. The combination of production and development competencies across the globe and a well-functioning global sourcing system make Bodilsen a world-class supplier of mass-produced furniture to leading retailers of the world.
Bodilsen specialises in the processing of pine, birch, MDF and frame board. The manufacture of laminated wood products is also one of their core competencies. To produce its products each year the business uses 100,000 cubic metres of raw wood, a 1,000 tons of lacquer and stain and over 2,000,000 turned components as well as 40,000 cubic metres of MDF and chipboard.
Meeting customer requirements by combining general trend and customised product range analysis to achieve a competitively high level of success in the product ranges it designs Bodilsen offers furniture in various types, such as functional, traditional, country, casual, contemporary and modern styles.
In addition to its Danish base Bodilsen has operations in the Estonia and the UK and offices in China.
Bodilsen management team needed to change their financial management system to improve access to information and financial controls across the company. What they did not want was to completely re-engineer all their business systems to achieve this objective – they were satisfied with some of the elements of the manufacturing systems and did not want these to change. In2grate Business Solutions implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV and created the necessary interfaces to enable Bodilsen to retain the best of their existing systems and at the same time have their ideal financial management system.
The business benefit resulting from the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV includes:
- World class financial management systems
- International deployment of a multi-site, multi-currency solution
- Ease of integration with other applications - Minimum of disruption to existing business operations and systems
- Enables Bodilsen to support continued expansion of international operations and customer base
“The understanding of the totality of a clients operational processes is key to minimising the disruption to their business. In2grate Business Solutions has the skills and experience to utilise existing business processes, define new processes where required and create the necessary interfaces and deliver the optimum solution to clients within budget and on time.” Graham Sharpe, CEO, In2grate Business Solutions. |
